I wanted to send out a quick Happy Holidays Blog. I hope all the families have an amazing time together and get rested for the new year. Yesterday our gallery walk of the students displays were a hit. It was nice to see so many families come and check out our work. For those families that did not make it here I have posted some pictures of how they all turned out.
Week 4: The grade 3 teachers have been reviewing the work students have been handing in along with the expectations from Alberta Learning. We have decided to change things a bit with the hopes that this will be easier on students and families as they juggle th e “new normal”. Students will have expected assignments and optional assignments. Each assignment leads to the next therefore they will need to be completed in order but not necessarily on the suggested day. Feedback will be given to students as assignments are completed. We have also included rubrics and checklists to help students know how they will be marked as well as they can meet high er expectations. Optional assignments, such as the passion project, are included for students who want extra work. These will not be formally assessed but will be considered when looking at final marks for Language Arts....
