Week 6

Good afternoon Grade 3 Families, 
The grade three teachers understand that these times can be frustrating and stressful for parents who are trying their best to support their child’s learning while maintaining their own responsibilities such as caregiver, working full/part time and regular household duties. As a grade 3 team we fully understand that it can be a struggle at times.  We are constantly trying to evolve our lesson planning to accommodate the challenges our families are facing while still trying to ensure our students receive assignments that are engaging and allow them to showcase their strengths. We are providing a link to a short survey that we ask parents to complete in order to help us understand how things are going with the schoolwork that has been provided thus far. The survey should take only a few moments.

Please know we appreciate all the work our families are doing at home with the students. We understand every family has their own complexities at home and everyone is trying their best. We are here for all of you, to help you through this new type of learning. Please reach out if there is anything we can do to support you.

Monday: Meet up 1pm – Go through the week’s assignments, check-in and to see if there are any questions – read aloud to follow if time.  
Tuesday: Read aloud 1pm (optional)

Thursday: Read aloud 1pm (optional) 
Friday Meet up 1pm – Check-in and celebrate successes and achievements! Read aloud to follow if time.

Welcome to the 2019 – 2020 school year!   I would like to take the time to introduce myself, Denean Langlois. I will be your child’s grade 3 teacher. This year we will be working in room 7.   I will be waiting outside to meet you and your child Tuesday morning. Welcome to Online Learning

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s):       Thank you for your patience as we work through some necessary planning in preparation for resuming structured learning opportunities for your child. I understand there has been a lot of uncertainty about what learning is going to look like moving forward. I can assure you that we are going to work on key learning outcomes at-home within the parameters established by the province and CBE.       To help me understand your family’s access to technology, can you please provide responses to the following three questions:   §    Does your child have access to a computer, laptop, iPad/tablet, smart phone? Week 5

Good afternoon Grade 3 Families,   We hope everyone is doing well. The grade 3 teachers have been reviewing the work students have been handing in  this past week.  We are pleased with the work we have been seeing and are hoping that the changes  we have made to the structure of our classrooms  have made  schoolwork  easier for your family.    Please ensure that when your child is submitting an  assignment,  they click the submit button on the top  right-hand  corner of the screen.
